How About A Cheap Mac for Christmas?
December 6, 2007
While I’m not the most ardent fan of all that Steve Jobs has to offer, there are thousands of lovers of all things Apple. Unfortunately, many Apple products are quite a bit pricier than their PC counterparts, which often gives a clear price advantage to buying a PC over an Apple product.
But lo and behold the wonders of the net, there is a life for used Mac products beyond the trenches of eBay. DVWarehouse provides used mac and macintosh parts at affordable prices. A quick look around the used mac category on DVWarehouse shows some decent offerings of iMacs, iBooks, G3’s and G4’s.
I can certainly see this being a valuable resource to save money for individuals who use macintosh products on a daily basis, such as design students and even professors. For example, the pre-owned iBook G3 at $295 is sufficiently powered at 600Mhz and 256mb Ram with a 15Gb hard drive for light internet surfing and word processing.
Check out http://www.dvwarehouse.com as it is a good place to look for a used mac, or to find parts for old macintosh products if you have one already.

$295 for such an old mac, kind of expensive. Lol, I can find a brand new PC 2.0 Ghz Dual Core with 60GB HDD for only $400…
