How to get indexed by Google in under 3 days
July 19, 2007
Getting indexed by Google should be your #1 priority after starting your blog. Itâ??s advisable that you have at least 10 posts before you think about submitting your site to Google. Now, with a little SEO and some very easy steps, Iâ??ll show you how Daily Moolah dot Com got listed by Google between the 14th and 17th of July.
- Install the Wordpress Google Sitemaps plugin along with the All-in-one SEO Plugin
- Configure your Title, Meta Keywords, and write a short but keyword rich description about your site. Remember the description will show up underneath your URL on Google, so make sure itâ??s written for a â??eyesâ?? and not for search robots
- Convert your permalinking structure to something static such as
http://www.dailymoolah.com/2007/07/19/sample-post/ - Make sure your image â??altâ?? tags are also keyword rich.
- Submit your site to Google by clicking here
- Finally submit your sitemap.xml to Google WebMaster Tools by clicking here
- Now write atleast one post a day and watch your site get indexed by Google by the third day.
These are some of the most basic steps to getting indexed by Google. Follow through with my previous posts on building backlinks through high PR forums for more tips.

Great advise. I use Blogger, but I assume the principle is the same regardless of which blogging software you use? I only have 4 posts up at the moment, but when I have 15 or so I’ll see how quickly I can get indexed in Google.
Cheers!

Hey DailyMoneyTip - I’d suggest you build a brand for yourself by investing in your own domain name. While you can build a brand for yourself on a blogger.com account, you will eventually want to get your own domain, in order to establish yourself seriously within the blogosphere.
From an SEO viewpoint, having a blogger.com account is not advisable because your SERPs, PR and Alexa rankings would go down the drain if Google were ever to boot you off their platform.

add craigslist.org to your post.
I think it is a good way.

I found recently that no-follow links will get a site indexed. Thought this was interesting.
I’m OK with getting indexed in 3 days - that will give you long tail traffic - but it’s the long term rankings that make the big difference.

The description tag is not used by Google, it uses a text content from your website.

@Barry - This is a recent development in the snippet algo for Google. For the most part the article although written in July 2007 still holds true.
