Get A Butler For Your Blog
July 31, 2007
That’s right a Butler…not your stereotypical uptight Englishman, but rather the kind that picks up after you’ve had your way with Wordpress plugins, random post edits, multiple comment approvals, and spam extermination. I’m talking about backing up your blog, something that many of us forget to do on a daily basis. Of course, many may think this is unnecessary because plugins such as wp-backup are available, but the truth is that plugins slow down your blogs loading speed considerably with their background processes.
So what am I trying to get at? Well, why backup up your blog by yourself, when someone else can do it for you? Enter BlogBackupOnline. This service, currently in BETA, will schedule daily automated backups of your blog hosted on pretty much any platform. Blogger, Wordpress, Friendster, Live Journal, TypePad, Windows Live Spaces, and Multiply are all supported for daily backups.
The service comes with 50 mb of free storage and is definitely worth checking out.
PS: I was not paid or coerced in any form or manner to plug BlogBackupOnline. Sign up to the service if you like, and let me know how you feel about it. Cheers!
