Time To Tinker
Wordpress has just released WordPress 2.3 Release Candidate 1 today! For those of you that don’t check your admin dashboard regularly, this news will be a wakeup call to upgrade your current installation. Beta 3 bugs have been fixed, and the folks at Wordpress are calling out to bloggers who are willing to try out the final Release Candidate.
If you’re feeling adventurous enough, give the new release a go and help the Wordpress community by reporting back on any bugs you find. Kindly remember that this is still pre-release software, so backup your existing setup before attempting to upgrade. If you do take this leap of faith, you’ll be able to try out Wordpress 2.3’s cool new integrated tagging features, among other nifty changes.
If you have problems with RC1, you will not be able to revert back to your previous release without a database backup.
